December 5th, 2009 -- Trip to The Door is Open
We are making another trip to the Door is Open on the Saturday after the last day of school. This event is open to members of the catholic clubs on campus at St.Mark's. We begin at 9am with prayer, we serve lunch at 11am and we finish at 2pm.
December 1st, 2009 -- Light Up for Christ
This event combines the traditional knights of columbus "Light up for Christ" event with an advent reconcilliation service. The reconcilliation service begins at 5pm. The decorating of Plato's cave for the Christmas season begins around 5:30pm as people begin to finish confessions. When everyone has completed confessions we will have the lighting of the lights accompanied by a special prayer and Christmas goodies/refreshments. This event is open to everyone.
November 18th, 2009 -- Sandwich Making
We will be making 300-400 sandwiches for the needy in downtown Vancouver. This charitable event is open to anyone who is willing to come and volunteer. We begin at 4pm in Plato's Cave at St.Mark's College. The sandwiches are to be delivered to the Door is Open Catholic soup kitchen the next morning.
